Course Description

The development of green skills is critical in the current global context due to increasing environmental challenges, the imperative for sustainable development, and the need for professionals to adapt to changing industry practices. Especially for the professionals in the agricultural sector green skills will enable them to navigate the complex challenges of the 21st century, contribute to environmental sustainability, and ensure the long-term viability of global food systems. These skills are essential for fostering resilience, reducing environmental footprints, and aligning with the principles of sustainable agriculture and therefore key elements and concepts are introduced in this LU among others, like sustainability, circular economy, green economy, bioeconomy, key European directives, waste management, system thinking, life cycle thinking, environmental management and compliance with environmental legislation.
